A Massive Outpouring of Faith at Mahavir Mandir
Patna’s iconic Mahavir Mandir witnessed thousands of devotees arriving at the crack of dawn. The temple gates were opened as early as 2 AM, with prayers and aarti beginning immediately. The queues of devotees stretched nearly a kilometer up to the GPO Roundabout.
Political Leaders Offer Prayers
On this auspicious occasion, BJP state president Nitin Nabin and temple secretary Sayan Kunal offered prayers at the temple early Friday morning. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Samrat Choudhary, along with other prominent figures, are also expected to participate in the celebrations.
Earlier, BJP president Nitin Nabin had personally visited Dak Bungalow Chowk to review preparations for the Ram Navami Shobha Yatra and also addressed a press conference ahead of the festivities.
Dak Bungalow Chowk Dazzles With Festive Lights
Patna’s famous Dak Bungalow Chowk was beautifully lit up with decorative lights on the eve of Ram Navami, on March 26.The glittering roundabout mesmerized residents and visitors alike, quickly becoming a viral moment across social media platforms with people sharing its stunning visuals.
Why Ram Navami Holds Such Deep Significance
Ram Navami is the sacred Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Ram — the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu and the central hero of the Ramayana. It falls on the ninth day of the Chaitra month in the Hindu calendar and marks the final and most significant day of the spring Navratri.
On this day, devotees observe fasts, recite the Ramayana, sing bhajans, and participate in grand processions known as Shobha Yatras. Patna has long been known for its large-scale celebrations, but this year the energy was on an entirely different level.
All of Bihar Turns Ram-Devoted
Taken together, this grand festival has filled the entire state of Bihar with devotion, enthusiasm, and spiritual energy.Across Patna’s lanes and neighbourhoods, free prasad distribution, living tableaux, and bhajan mandalis have created an atmosphere that is both festive and deeply spiritual.
Whether you’re a devotee or simply a witness to this cultural marvel, Patna’s Ram Navami is an experience that stays with you long after the chants fade.
